  1. Supply of Products

Products are sold under the express understanding that:

These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights.

Contracts for the supply of goods or services to retail or domestic customers are governed by The Sale of Goods Act 1979 (as amended) and supplied in compliance with, The Consumer Protection (distance selling) regulations 2000 as amended by S1689 2005. Any customers contracting in the course of their business are excluded from consumer protection legislation and are contacting with the company on a business to business basis.

The customer is fully made aware of conditions of sale regarding logs and other natural products. We cannot guarantee that the appearance and/or colour of products shown on this site exactly reproduce the appearance and/or colours of the physical products themselves. Natural products may show some colour, shape and size variations. Products may contain debris such as bark, dust and other material amassed during the production process. Due to forestry procedures a 5% variation in wood species should be expected. The products have a minimal chance of bacterial growth/mould, this will not affect the performance of the fuel and this is to be expected in the drying process. Forestry operations are carried out to produce wood fuel not only from thinning of live trees but from dead trees; in some cases there may be slight decay and signs of boring insects – this will not affect the performance of the wood fuel and all pests are killed during the kiln drying process. Sizes are guidelines, due to the nature of forestry procedures you can expect a size tolerance of 10%. All sizes quoted are approximate.

  1. Complaints.

The company requires any complaint to be made in writing by the customer within a reasonable time of collection or delivery. If the customer is dissatisfied with the product then it must be returned to the company within 5 working days after the complaint has been logged. A refund will then be made for the original purchase price if justified.

  1. Prices.

All prices quoted by the company for the sale of any products include the cost of delivery into most U.K. postcodes, but we reserve the right to add on fees in accordance with our courier company requirements.

Prices quoted are delivered, all-inclusive prices unless otherwise stated.

  1. Payment.

All customers are required to pay by credit card/debit card at the time of ordering.

  1. After delivery.

All products (however delivered) shall be at the customers risk from the time of delivery. After such time the company shall be under no liability for loss or damage or deterioration of the product from whatever cause arising.

  1. Delivery

The company will make every effort to deliver products on the agreed date, but if for any reason the company is unable to deliver then no liability whether in damages or otherwise for delay of whole or any part of the goods ordered arising from any cause whatsoever shall apply.

Delivery by the company shall be conditional upon access free from encumbrances and good roads being available for the company’s vehicles to access the place of delivery.

The company will not accept any liability for damages to property caused during delivery.

If the company, or its agent cannot gain access to the delivery address then additional costs will be incurred to re-attempt the delivery.

We do not deliver with hi-ab or crane offloading. Deliveries will be made by a kerbside tail-lift lorry to put the pallet as near to your property as possible. The ground and road need to be a solid, level tarmac or concrete surface to use this system. If you have any doubts please contact us for further details. Broken concrete, gravel or sloping ground is not suitable and pallets may only be left on the roadside at the driver’s discretion if he deems it safe to do so (charges apply for re-delivery or product being transported back to our warehouse). To ensure your items are delivered, you, (or someone on your behalf), will need to be there to sign for them.

  1. Returned, refused or undeliverable goods.

Returned goods if cancelled whilst on route or returned due to ground/access conditions being unsuitable for pallet deliveries, will incur a return delivery charge. We will make arrangements to collect or return the goods to our depot at the cost of the return charge only (the original cost of delivery will be subtracted from any refunds for product and can vary dependant on delivery postcode) . Alternatively, you can make your own arrangements to have the goods returned to us within 21 days (product should arrive in its original condition so as not to incur further charges and the original cost of delivery will be subtracted from any refunds for product and can vary dependant on delivery postcode).

Where a delivery cannot be made on the arranged day due to access or unforeseen circumstances we will attempt redelivery at your request on the following day or by prior arrangement. There will be a re-delivery charge and this will vary depending on the delivering depot. We will advise you of this cost prior to redelivery. If you have any queries concerning this or any other issues please call us immediately on 0800 112 3469.

To ensure your items are delivered, you, (or someone on your behalf), will need to be there to sign for them.

We use a national courier service to deliver. Deliveries are made during the hours of 8am to 6pm on Weekdays. We attempt to ensure timely deliveries however these can be affected by conditions outside of our control, for example, unforeseen issues on the road or bad weather conditions. We reserve the right to move your delivery slot if circumstances dictate.

Please note if for any reason you wish to alter, amended or cancel your order a £10 (flat fee) administration fee will be charged. This will be wavered in circumstances such as poor product or wrong product. Each case will be looked at before a decision is made; this does not include any delays in delivery.

Cancellations are not accepted by telephone and must be by one of the following methods:

  • Electronic Mail to enquiries@angliafirewood.co.uk
  • Letter to Anglia Firewood, Unit 7A, The Brickworks, Old Stowmarket Road, Woolpit, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. IP30 9QS
